Lithography
What is Lithography?
Lithography is a printing process that uses chemical processes to transfer an image from a flat surface to a printing substrate.
It involves using a flat stone or metal plate on which the image areas are worked using a greasy substance so that the ink will adhere to them while the non-image areas are treated to repel ink. This method allows for high-quality print production with rich detail and color consistency, making it ideal for artistic prints and various commercial applications. In today’s digital age, lithography has evolved but still holds a significant place in the printing of packaging materials, posters, and fine art reproductions. While specific statistics on brand advertising through lithography aren’t detailed here, it’s evident that its use in creating visually striking promotional materials continues to be valued across industries.
